Posted by on April 16, 2007
The State Education Agency K-12 Service-Learning Network (SEANet) at the Academy for Educational Development and the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory (NWREL) are pleased to announce the Seniors and Youth Engaged in Service (SaYES) Grants. This initiative is designed to bring in older adult volunteers, especially Baby Boomers, to support K-12 service-learning programs and activities. The SaYES Grants will be used to initiate, cultivate, and sustain effective partnerships that will ultimately connect more K-12 schools and community-based organizations utilizing service-learning with older adult volunteer organizations including RSVP. Grant awards between $2,000 – $4,000 will be available with up to 10 grants awarded. To learn more, visit http://www.seanetonline.org/sayes.html
