The Pew Charitable Trusts (PCT), an independent nonprofit, is driven by the power of knowledge to solve today’s most challenging problems. The Finance department of PCT is comprised of four units: Accounting, Agenda and Finance Services, Program Financial Services and Trusts-operated Projects (TOPs) Finance. The senior specialist, Agenda and Finance Services will be part of the Agenda and Finance Services unit and will report to the senior manager, Agenda and Finance Services.
The senior specialist will work closely with the manager to learn the responsibilities of the crucial quarterly agenda process, and assist in the creation and staffing of an institutional Resource Desk. This position will be responsible for coordinating workflow from every department in the organization; liaising with the Executive Office; maintaining quality control; resolving issues; communicating policy changes; and ensuring the board receives the consummate product on schedule. The ideal candidate will demonstrate managerial, strong analytical, project management, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
The successful candidate has five or more years experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, multifaceted, results-oriented work environment. Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required. Strong systems skills required and ability to quickly learn software specific to the department or institution. This position is based in Pew’s Philadelphia, PA office, with travel anticipated between Philadelphia, PA and Washington, DC.
