Senior Project presentation judges needed
Posted by on May 10, 2010
The School District of Philadelphia is looking for people to serve as judges for high school seniors as they complete an academically rigorous Senior Project.
Students have been responsible for four parts of the Senior Project throughout their senior year (October-May), including producing an 8 page research paper, 15 hours of fieldwork, creation of a portfolio documenting the project, and now, making an oral presentation.
Community judges will observe students in the final phase of the project, the oral presentation, and will sit alongside teachers and educators on final presentation panels.
Judges do not need to be an expert in the student’s chosen topic or have any special training. The panels will be taking place over the course of the new few weeks (mid-May to early June) at the following high schools:
Fels High School
Gratz High School
Kensington Business High School
Olney West High School
Parkway West High School
Parkway Northwest High School for Peace and Social Justice
Roxborough High School
South Philadelphia High School
Strawberry Mansion High School
To sign up to be a Senior Project judge, email Jackie Lopez at [email protected]. Please specify if you have a preference at which high school you want to judge.
