Senior Operations Planner for SEPTA
The Senior Operations Planner is a critical position at SEPTA and is responsible for coordinating, supervising and conducting research and analysis to determine modifications to existing routes and the feasibility of establishing new routes, preparing written service proposals, tariff documents, and portions of the Annual Service Plan. Also responsible for monitoring the effect of service changes on ridership. Persons filling this position must have a thorough knowledge of SEPTA routes and operating procedures, a familiarity with the geography of the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region, excellent computer, writing and oral communication skills, and public speaking experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.A. or B.S. in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or related field and a minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in transit planning or a combination of urban and transit planning required. Four (4) years of relevant experience with a Master’s Degree in related field may be considered in lieu of experience.
– An equivalent combination of education and experience (two (2) years of related experience equating to one (1) year of post-high school education) may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
– Familiarity with the geography of the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region preferred.
