The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability (OOS) works with partners around the City to improve quality of life in all Philadelphia neighborhoods, reduce the City’s carbon emissions, and prepare Philadelphia for a hotter, wetter future. OOS works to implement Greenworks, the City’s comprehensive sustainability plan. The Office of Sustainability houses the Energy Office and the Food Policy Advisory Council.
Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Manager for Climate Mitigation will be leading the Office of Sustainability’s efforts to reduce citywide carbon emissions to meet Mayor Kenney’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The Deputy will oversee key citywide building and energy programs, manage greenhouse gas inventories and data reporting, guide the Office’s zero waste efforts and, support programs at the intersection of transportation and climate. The position reports to the Director of the Office of Sustainability.
