JOB DESCRIPTION
PROJECT TITLE: Philadelphia Opportunities Industrialization Center, Inc. -21st Century After School program
POSITION TITLE: Senior Group Leader
SUPERVISOR: Site Director
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Supervision and guidance of the after school activities at one program site.
DUTIES:
? Assist site director with after school curricula and activities for school based programs including:
o Monitoring of lesson plans
o Communicating with families
o Supervising support staff
o Provide bilingual (Spanish- English) support to students and families
? Ensuring completion of student assignments
? Serve as the liaison to school personnel at project site and community providers
? Assist with program documentation
? Attend required training sessions
? Ability to use computer and internet technology in a classroom setting
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Associates degree or 2 years college in related area in education, social work, or related field.
? At least three years of experience working with children and their families.
? Ability to conduct group sessions and lead structured lessons with children who have behavioral health problems.
? An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
