Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic $7.5M nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being. MCC seeks an experienced Accountant with non-profit and Sage MIP experience.

The Senior Accountant position maintains the accounting records on a monthly basis which includes the preparation and recording of journal vouchers, cash receipts, payroll, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, petty cash disbursements. Responsibilities include the preparation of monthly financial reports and related analysis for program and agency reporting, administration and reconciliation of the accounting system, fixed assets inventory, grant and contract monitoring and reporting, key staff member for independent audit, supervises staff.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, minimum of five years non-profit accounting experience with multiple funders and government contracts, CPA a plus. Experience with SAGE non-profit accounting software required, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Office). Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and meet deadlines, active team member. Supervisory experience preferred. Position in Philadelphia.
