Seminar: Trees, People, and the Law

Please plan to attend the full-day seminar, Trees, People, and the Law, on December 7, 2004 at Penn State Great Valley in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This nationally recognized seminar will be presented by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the Penn-Del Chapter of ISA, Pennsylvania State University’s School of Forest Resources and Penn State Cooperative Extension, and the Pennsylvania Urban and Community Forestry Council.
Seminar instructor, attorney Victor Merullo, will discuss law basics, negligence and nuisances issues, current legal trends, ordinances, easements and public utility issues, qualifying as an expert witness and local case studies and statutes. Local guest speakers include attorney Gilbert High, Jr. and Dr. William Elmendorf of PSU School of Forest Resources.
The International Society of Arboriculture has approved the seminar for 5.5 CEUs and the Society of American Foresters has approved the seminar for 5.5 Category 1 CFEs. The Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board has approved the seminar for 5.5 CLEs.
