Posted by on April 29, 2005
In partnership with the United Way of Western Montgomery County and North Penn United Way, the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) is pleased to present an Introductory session on the Standards for Excellence (Standards), the first ethics and accountability code for the nonprofit sector. The Standards program includes extensive educational support and technical assistance to support nonprofit organizations in implementing strong administrative and program practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
An Introductory Session will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 2:00 ? 4:30 pm at the Clemens Family Market Corporate Headquarters. Details and registration information can be found at http://www.pano.org/events.php#Standards%20for%20Excellence. PANO thanks National Penn Bank for sponsoring this program.
During this session organizations will learn to use the Standards for Excellence ethics and accountability code to assess and strengthen your organization and identify ways to improve its governance, financial systems, personnel practices, fundraising and more. Eight Guiding Principles and fifty-six best practice Standards promote excellence and integrity in nonprofit management and strengthen the public trust in Pennsylvania’s nonprofit organizations. Attendance of both an Executive Director/CEO and a board member will maximize the value and outcome of this program.
