Rep. Schwartz hosts seminars on funding sources
US Representative Allyson Schwartz will host two Government, Corporate, and Foundation Research Seminars about funding sources such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which can help organizations to continue to offer services and programs.
The seminar will feature a comprehensive overview of navigating federal search engines, conducting foundation and corporate research, tailoring proposals to specific funding sources and an introduction to local Foundation Centers’ resources. These seminars will also help organizations better learn to navigate the federal grants system which offers more than 1,000 grant programs and access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards.
Special guests include experts from the US Department of Health and Human Services and area Regional Foundation Center libraries. There will also be plenty of time for questions and Representative Schwartz will provide a complimentary continental breakfast and lunch.
The seminars will be held Tuesday, June 16th at the Jewish Community Center, Klein Branch, 10100 Jamison Avenue, Philadelphia and Wednesday June 17th at Montgomery County Community College Science Center, 40 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Both seminars will take place from 8:30am-1pm. For more information or to register, email Jane Murray at jane.murray@mail.house.gov or call 215-517-6572.
