“Cutting-Edge Data Analytic Tools: Applications for Management, Education and Engineering”
Thursday March 24, 2005 10 am -12 noon
Musser Auditorium, SSB
Penn State Great Valley
You are cordially invited to participate in an upcoming seminar sponsored by the Penn State Great Valley Faculty Senate’s Research Committee. In this seminar, a distinguished panel of Penn State Great Valley researchers will present an overview of several data analytic tools that may be useful to participants in their work. Many of these tools represent the “new generation of statistical analyses” and provide several benefits over more traditional approaches (Wilcox, 1998, American Psychologist). Panelist will introduce these tools so that participants can gain an awareness of the tool’s purpose and potential application to their research agenda. The seminar will be followed by a delicious luncheon funded by Dr. Milheim’s office.
Topics to be covered include:
Partial Least Squares (PLS)
LISREL
Within and Between Analysis (WABA)
Decision Trees
Transforming Qualitative Data: Design and Analysis
Please RSVP to Carolyn Wilson at [email protected].
