Self-Care Workshop for Philly Area Tradeswomen – Jul 22
Posted by Women in Nontraditional Careers on July 21, 2020
Philadelphia-area tradeswomen are invited to a special virtual gathering on Wednesday July 22 from 5:00-7:30pm. Sponsored by Women in Nontraditional Careers (WINC) and Philadelphia Women in Trades.
Black and Brown tradeswomen will gather for a “Self-Care Workshop” presented by Krystal Reddick of Total Life Care Coaching. Krystal has offered workshops for NYC tradeswomen and is excited to offer this virtual workshop for WINC.
White tradeswomen will gather to discuss being “allies, co-conspirators and accomplices” in dismantling racism. We recommend listening in advance to an excerpt from the Podcast That’s Not How That Works. Episode 19: Let’s Cut the BS: From Ally to Accomplice. Listen from minutes 2:55-11:00. Or, check out this 5-min video Dr. Bettina Love on being an ally vs a co-conspirator.
Philly Women in Trades will facilitate.
Our discussions start at 5:00pm every Wednesday (Join on-line 5 minutes early to figure out the Zoom technology): https://philaworks-org.zoom.us/j/2159633478?pwd=UDFva2VNczVwTTIyVHhhRVVYaERMdz09
