Seeking Chief Operating Officer at Women’s Opportunities Resource Center (WORC)
WORC is entering a new period of growth and seeks a committed, talented and experienced nonprofit professional to oversee and manage the daily operations of the agency including administration, program and fiscal management. S/he will report to WORC’s President. The successful candidate will have outstanding management skills, be able to promote teamwork among a diverse staff and experience in managing federal, state and private contracts. The candidate must have a commitment and knowledge of Economic Development and women’s poverty alleviation strategies.
The Women’s Opportunities Resource Center is a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization headquartered in Philadelphia that promotes social and economic self-sufficiency for economically disadvantaged women and their families. WORC provides training, individual business assistance, a savings program, support services, and access to business and financial resources. WORC received the "2001 Presidential Award for Excellence in Microenterprise Development: Poverty Alleviation" from the United States Department of Treasury.
