Campaign for Working Families helps area agencies provide free tax preparation via The Benefit Bank
Many of you are familiar with the Campaign for Working Families from our 11 tax sites that connect over 12,000 low-income Philadelphians a year to valuable tax credits, financial tools, and other resources that promote economic stability. Now, the Campaign is ready to help other agencies and groups offer similar services in its role as Lead Partner for The Benefit Bank of Pennsylvania (TBB-PA)!
Tax season is here again and The Benefit Bank is here to help! Most people know you can easily complete applications for many work-supports like SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) and LIHEAP, but did you know you can complete TAXES using The Benefit Bank? Taxes can be intimidating, but The Benefit Bank simplifies it so you don’t need to be the tax expert, just someone who is trained to assist a client in completing their tax return.
Right now, the Campaign is looking for agencies interested in learning more about what The Benefit Bank can offer their community. If you want to find out more about this completely free service, please contact John Lyons @ 215-851-1742, or [email protected]
