SEAMAAC Gala, Jan 30
Posted by SEAMAAC on January 28, 2020
SEAMAAC has been a leading organization in providing education, social, and health services to individuals and families in the Philadelphia area for the past 36 years. As we look ahead to the future, it is more critical than ever to unite and stand together. This is our only big fundraiser of the year and a meaningful event as we grapple with various national and local challenges. Through these challenges, the strength of our communities and partners continues to be a beacon of light for Philadelphia. So I hope you will be able to join us or consider supporting the Gala even if you cannot make it in person.
Please join us in the Fight for Our Future on January 30, 2020 from 6pm to 9pm, at the University of the Arts – Hamilton Hall, in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. It will be an evening of multicultural entertainment, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres to celebrate and empower our staff, the communities that we serve, and donors like you.
The Gala itself will be a nice celebration and inspiration for us all, with great food from local immigrant chefs, plenty to drink, music from our local DJ, cultural performances, silent auction artwork donated by talented local artists, fun raffle prizes, and a great diverse crowd, including our super Host Committee and Sponsors. Our Honorees will be Gisele Fetterman, Second Lady of the Commonwealth with an inspirational story and truly making a positive impact in her position; Dr. Marc Altshuler of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, who has been an iconic leader in ensuring immigrants, refugees and other marginalized people have access to health care and wellness; and Cristina Martinez & Ben Miller, the owners of South Philly Barbacoa and leaders on the front lines fighting unjust and inhumane immigration policies.
