Screening of the Documentary Growing Cities
Thursday, April 24th, 6 pm
Saint Joseph’s University Forum Theater, Campion Student Center
The Saint Joseph’s University Community Garden is hosting a screening and a brief discussion of the documentary film Growing Cities (http://growingcitiesmovie.com). This film examines the role of urban farming in America and asks how much power it has to revitalize our cities and change the way we eat. The goal of hosting this screening is to increase the awareness of the role of urban gardening in creating sustainable communities and in fostering a sense of stewardship for the earth. In addition the SJU Community Garden will be collecting food donations to Philabundance.
Admission is free. Snacks and drinks are provided.
