Scribe to screen Muslim Voices of Philadelphia
Muslim Voices of Philadelphia is a new community history project exploring the rich histories of Muslim communities. Featured are short documentaries utilizing interviews and oral-history research to discuss contemporary practices and experiences.
Working with Scribe, members of local Muslim religious and cultural organizations collaborated with media arts producers and scholars, exploring how best to tell their stories, address complex cultural histories and experiences, and define their communities.
The premiere screening will take place on Tuesday, June 24th at 7pm at International House of Philadelphia, 3701 Chestnut Street in University City.
Admission is free. RSVP here.
