A Call to Action: Will You Make a Difference?
iPraxis is seeking volunteers!
Join nearly 100 science and technology volunteers – “Scienteers” – working through iPraxis to inspire a new generation of middle school students. The Scienteer Program is a cost-effective way of enriching the delivery of science education in some of Philadelphia’s lowest-performing neighborhood schools. Most of the schools that we collaborate with are located in West Philadelphia. The goal of these enrichment activities is to help spark an interest in the sciences among all students in the classrooms we touch. You can volunteer in a variety of ways. Be an in-class presenter, participate in a career day, mentor a student for a science fair, or help us with curriculum development. We let you know what opportunities are available. You decide how to devote your time. For more information contact Meagan Hopkins-Doerr, Program Director, iPraxis, 215.966.6253, Meagan@ipraxis.org.
