Science-and-policy Fellow
A science-and-policy fellowship is a post-graduate or graduate-level opportunity to work for 20-30 hours per week for the duration of a year. The science-and-policy fellow will be a self-starter with a strong interest, and at least some experience, in the intersection of environmental science, policy, and planning. S/he will be responsible for assisting senior staff in assessing, communicating, and responding to environmental issues and challenges in the Estuary, including climate change. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate effective work teams; an understanding of, and some experience in, environmental science, management, and policy pertaining to the Delaware Estuary; and the ability to represent the PDE to outside partners. Individuals with graduate-level coursework in environmental science, policy, and planning are encouraged to apply. A more detailed job description is available here (PDF file).
