Description:
KIPP Imagine Charter School (KICS), an open-enrollment public charter elementary school, seeks an Office Manager. KICS will open with 100 kindergarten students in August of 2010 and grow one grade level at a time for the next five years. At full capacity, KICS will serve 490 children in grades K through fourth. Students and their parents choose to attend KIPP from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm during the week, on some Saturdays and for three weeks during the summer in preparation for college.

Overview:
KIPP, or the Knowledge is Power Program, is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools in educationally underserved communities. Nearly 20,000 students attend one of the 82 KIPP schools that operate in 19 states and the District of Columbia. KIPP Philadelphia Schools (KPS) is a part of the national KIPP Network and currently serves grades 5-8 at KIPP Philadelphia Charter School and grade 5 at KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School. In August of 2010, KPS will open its first elementary school, KIPP Imagine Charter School, serving 100 kindergarten students in its first year of operation, as well as KIPP Dubois Collegiate Academy, its first high school, serving 130 9th grade students.
