School Museums of Service and Service-Learning Visioning Session – Feb 16
Posted by National Youth Leadership Council on February 7, 2023
As part of our partnership with the National Museum and Center for Service, we are excited to invite you to a visioning session to imagine ways to pilot school-based exhibitions of service and service-learning. These School Museums of Service will elevate, honor, and inspire service-learning in school and in the community.
Those interested in learning more and potentially participating in the development and piloting of this effort are invited to join a visioning session on February 16, 3:30-4:30 PM CST. Anyone interested in the concept or excited to join a pilot is encouraged to join.
The session will provide an opportunity to hear from NMCFS founder Congressman Brian Baird on the importance of service to the American character, and the vital role it plays in our democracy. NYLC and NMCFS will share their vision for bringing Campus Museums of Service to institutions across the nation—and how you can get involved. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback and contribute ideas to help us launch this important venture.
