Scholarships to Closing the Hunger Gap: Cultivating Food Justice Conference

Want to attend the Closing the Hunger Gap conference September 13 – 16 in Portland, OR, but don’t have the funds to pay for it? Apply for a scholarship by the June 26 deadline at http://thehungergap.org/scholarships

There are a limited number of registration scholarships and work trade positions for eligible participants. You can apply for a scholarship for yourself, for a community partner, or for yourself and a community partner.

Who is eligible for a scholarship?

· Emerging leaders: especially community members who do not have organizational support or funding for conferences; grassroots partners working with food banks and pantries; and farmers or food producers who work with food system partners

· Staff and volunteers from organizations with small budgets

· People living on low incomes

There are also a few work trade positions available with no eligibility requirements. Volunteer for 12 – 14 hours during the conference in exchange for free registration.
