Scholarships Available for 2022 PCORI Meeting – Jun 6

Posted by Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute on May 24, 2022

Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is pleased to offer financial scholarships to participate in-person at the 2022 PCORI Annual Meeting in Arlington, VA. The intent of this opportunity is to support inclusive and equitable representation among diverse stakeholders who may benefit from and/or contribute to attendance at PCORI’s Annual Meeting. Scholarships will cover the recipients’ travel (inside the United States only), hotel, and per diem allowance for both the applicant and the caregiver (if medically required). There is no conference registration fee.

The PCORI Annual Meeting brings together members of the healthcare community, including researchers, patients, caregivers, clinicians, insurers, health system representatives, and other stakeholders. The event serves as a report to the nation on PCORI’s progress in funding initiatives to determine which care approaches work best, for whom, and under what circumstances.

This year’s meeting on Wednesday, October 26 and Thursday, October 27 will include both in-person and virtual attendance as PCORI continues to closely monitor the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and variants, with your safety being a top priority. While the majority of meeting attendees will join via a virtual conference platform, a small number (~600) of meeting attendees will participate in person, including all scholarship awardees. PCORI will work in conjunction with the meeting venue to develop and implement a range of safety measures and protocols to support in-person attendance. Potential scholarship awardees should expect to receive additional information regarding PCORI’s protocols and approach to supporting the safety of our in-person meeting attendees in the coming weeks. Applicants should expect PCORI’s approach to align with and/or exceed recommendations from federal and local public health authorities.

This is a competitive opportunity for a select number of PCORI Ambassadors. Please note that there will not be a dedicated workshop for PCORI Ambassadors at this year’s Annual Meeting due to COVID-19 limitations. However, all attendees will have informal opportunities to network with one another.
