Scholars in Service to PA AmeriCorps Program Pt-time Coordinator
Position Description
The Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND) seeks a part-time staff person to coordinate the Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania AmeriCorps program. The position is largely administrative, but has potential for some programmatic responsibilities as befits the coordinator’s interests and abilities.
The SISPA Coordinator will:
– Process student applications for the AmeriCorps program
– Track student time (through a web-based application) to ensure compliance with AmeriCorps requirements on a monthly basis
– Assist the Program Director with semi-annual reporting and evaluation
– Assist the Program Director with scheduling semi-annual site visits
– Communicate with participating campuses and other stakeholders as needed
– Maintain files sufficient to meet federal guidelines and standards
The SISPA Coordinator should be:
– self-motivated and self-directed
– able to work from home, in part, and/or maintain a flexible work schedule
– very detail-oriented
– comfortable with technology, particularly web-based relational databases and spreadsheets (i.e. be able to use filters, simple formulas, mail merge)
