Scattergood Foundation announces behavioral health innovation award
The Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation has announced the Scattergood Innovation Awards, which are designed to help identify, promote and reward innovative programs that demonstrably improve diagnosis, treatment, de-stigmatization, or support networks for the estimated one in four Americans over 18 who are directly affected by a diagnosable behavioral health condition.
The award includes a $25,000 prize for the most innovative program, exposure for all finalists as leaders, innovators and champions of behavioral health, and the establishment of an ever-growing community of people who share the mission of improving behavioral healthcare and encouraging public dialogue about behavioral health.
Individuals, teams or organizations can self-nominate or nominate someone else, and one does not need to be a behavioral health professional to apply. The foundation’s goal is to build an interdisciplinary community that will share ideas, interact, and develop future collaborations as part of the Scattergood network of innovators.
Final deadline for submissions Until November 30, 2012 January 1, 2013
