Scalable Innovations for Nursing

Posted by on October 29, 2012

I want to take the opportunity to personally invite you to two terrific events hosted by the National Nursing Centers Consortium (NNCC) this fall on the future of nurse-managed health care and safety-net care. NNCC’s 10th annual member conference, Scalable Innovations for Nursing, will be held Wed., November 28 and its technical assistance symposium, Scalable Innovations for Health Centers, will be held Thurs/Fri, November 29 and 30. Both events will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

Scalable Innovations for Nursing will focus on innovations in funding, clinical best practices, workforce development and much more. And as always, the unique needs and capabilities of nurse-managed health centers will be at the forefront of every discussion. Highlights from this year’s conference include:

  • Branch Chief of HRSA’s Division of Nursing, Dr. Shanita Williams, on what the future holds for nursing;
  • Trends in funding for nurse-led initiatives led by Dr. Susan Hassmiller from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and representatives from the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation, and Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence;
  • Developing the nursing workforce of the future with Dr. Margaret Flinter and representatives from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Independence Blue Cross;
  • Breakout sessions touching on such diverse subjects as nurse-managed wellness centers, behavioral health integration, clinical best practices and more.

The discounted room rate at the Four Seasons expires soon and space is limited, so register today.
