Save the Date: Virtual Symposium & Publishing Workshop – Jan 14-15
Posted by Campus Compact of New York and Pennsylvania on November 3, 2020
This symposium is a partnership between the three journals of the Community Development Society, which feature local and community development scholarship and practice work. In conjunction with this symposium/publishing workshop, Community Development (journal) offers opportunities to contribute to a special issue on higher education and community development.
At the first symposium/publishing workshop (January 2021), participants can gain feedback on their ideas and work to craft an abstract/proposal for the special issue or manuscripts to be submitted to other complementary journals.
The second symposium (held Summer 2021) will have peer review sessions and serve as a writing retreat where participants can get feedback on their manuscript drafts and prepare to submit to the special issue or other journals.
The symposiums will have two, four-hour afternoon blocks. The only outside requirements are that participants spend some time writing independently and preparing for peer-review/feedback sessions.
The cost for participation is $25, which will be dedicated directly to the special issue in Community Development.
