Save the Date and Call for Speakers: College Success Forum – Dec 5

Posted by Western PA College Success Roundtable on November 11, 2025

Please save the date! We’re excited to announce that the College Success Forum (CSF) will take place on February 10, 2025, at Robert Morris University (Moon Township, PA)! Please note that registration for the CSF will not open until January.

This event relies on the valuable insights of our members to present engaging and information sessions. If you’re interested in submitting a session proposal, please do so by Friday, December 5th here.

Examples of relevant topics include financial literacy, financial aid, outreach, peer mentoring, student engagement, community partnerships, and more. We welcome submissions from those in secondary and postsecondary institutions or organizations that provide programming, resources, initiatives, or research. Selected proposals will be notified by the end of December.

In response to previous CSF surveys, here are some specific topics participants are eager to see:

  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
  • Equity and Belonging: Supporting and assisting students
  • College Admissions: Trends and changes in the application process
  • Discussion on TANF, WIC, and other supports for students in higher education
  • School Counselor Insights: Their role in the college search process
  • Collegiate Basic Needs
  • Panel of Local Admissions/Postsecondary Staff: Tips and advice
  • Training for High School Counselors on College and Career Preparedness
  • Mental Health: Managing stress and anxiety
  • Supporting Homeless Youths

If you have a session idea on any of these topics or know a speaker who might be a perfect fit, we would love to hear from you! Past attendees have loved when the breakout sessions consisted of a panel with members from different schools/organizations and time to engage with attendees during the session.
