Saturday Session Instructor, Upward Bound

Upward Bound is a federally funded college preparatory program that prepares eligible high school students to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. Students attend Saturday instructional classes in math, science, language arts and history every Saturday from October – May.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Upward Bound Program Saturday Session Instructor will construct lesson plans to meet the objectives of the course and teach 9th – 12th grade students with no more than 25 students per class. We are currently seeking instructors of English, Science and Math.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants with academic and professional experience in their field are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who have:
– Familiarity of the Philadelphia Core Curriculum
– Experience teaching and/or working with Philadelphia high school students
COMPENSATION
– Competitive, based on qualifications and level of experience
