Satell Teen Fellowship for Leadership and Social Activism

Posted by Satell Family Foundation on October 12, 2015

We are now taking applications from 11th and 12th grade students for this year’s Satell Teen Fellowship for Leadership and Social Activism. The program is unique in that we look to create a diverse cohort representing the broad spectrum of the Jewish community.

Could you recommend two students to represent your organization and apply for the Satell Teen Fellowship?

The Fellowship is an innovative leadership development program for inspired, motivated Jewish teens from the Greater Philadelphia area, preparing them to express their voices in leadership roles and community service for a lifetime of engaged citizenship.

The Fellowship prepares Jewish adolescents to express their voice in leadership roles and active service for a lifetime of engaged citizenship. As a Satell Fellow, teens will:

  • Participate 2-3 times a month in leadership programs to learn more about themselves and their community.
  • Meet and discuss vital issues with political and civic leaders, as well as prominent business professionals to better develop their own voice.
  • Go on an exciting three-day trip to Washington, D.C., where Satell Teen Fellows will meet with government leaders and learn how American culture, government, and policies connect with Jewish values.
  • Travel to Israel, for an 11-day trip, where Satell Teen Fellows will explore ancient and modern Israel, learn valuable leadership skills, and spend time with Israeli teens.
  • Complete a Commitment Project that serves their community and hones their leadership abilities.

Applications are due November 1, 2015.
