Philadelphia Youth Basketball, Inc. (PYB), officially launched in June of 2015, is a community-built youth development and community empowerment organization that leverages the iconic game of basketball to help today’s urban youth overcome the most urgent and systemic issues facing underserved communities.  A diverse and impassioned group of individuals, including leaders from the grass-roots to the tree-tops, have been working diligently to execute upon this mission by building an impactful program, a robust and sustainable organization, and ultimately our world-class “Sixth Man” Center to help uplift thousands of children, youth, and families for generations to come.

The Safety & Security Manager is responsible for the administration and implementation of comprehensive security and safety programs, policies, and procedures for PYB at the Sixth Man Center, along with neighborhood programs across Philadelphia. The Safety & Security Manager will ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, PYB assets, the community, third-party contractors as well as protecting against potential threats and risks.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to the security and safety team “culture keepers” and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the security needs of the organization are met. This is a highly visible position for an organization with high visibility.
