Sacred Places / Civic Spaces Call for Design Precedents

Posted by Community Design Collaborative on March 26, 2018

How can historic sacred places support civic engagement, social cohesion, and neighborhood equity?

The Community Design Collaborative
in partnership with Partners for Sacred Places
is excited to announce the next phase of Infill Philadelphia!

Sacred Places / Civic Spaces

Join us to demonstrate that underutilized space in historic sacred properties throughout Philadelphia can be activated in ways that expand the civic commons, serve a larger secular purpose, and strengthen communities!

The Community Design Collaborative and Partners for Sacred Places are launching a call for Design Precedents and Design Teams to support Sacred Places/Civic Spaces.

We are calling for Design Precedents for a Sacred Places/Civic Spaces Exhibition to kick off the initiative. The exhibition will highlight the intersection between historic sacred places and communities and will serve as inspiration for the Sacred Places/Civic Spaces Design Challenge.

Together they will create innovative design and development concepts for incorporating civic spaces into sacred places.
