Rosine 2.0 Community Liaison, Swarthmore College

Posted by Swarthmore College on February 22, 2022

Rosine 2.0 is seeking to hire an independent contractor to help support the community engagement efforts on the project from March 2022–March 2023. This position is grant-funded at a stipend of a minimum of $2,500.

Swarthmore College seeks a Community Liaison for Rosine 2.0, a project funded by The Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. This project is a collaboration among artists, harm reduction organizations and organizers, archivists and community members in Philadelphia that will culminate in dynamic exhibition(s) art interventions, a publication, and a community-based archive.

The Community Liaison facilitates community participation and engagement in the project. They will help identify and connect with members of the Philadelphia community who may be interested in working on the project, specifically those who are living and working in street economies at the intersection of sex work and drug use. Along with facilitating individual engagement with the project, the Community Liaison will work with the Project Manager to coordinate logistics for workshops and art-making. The Community Liaison will submit monthly invoices to the Project Manager, Reb Aronow, and work alongside the project Curator/Artistic Director, Carol Stakenas, to ensure that the community is engaged in and given agency within the project. Given the emergent nature of this project, they have a key role in shaping Rosine 2.0’s work in the community as it develops.
