Roddenberry Fellowship invites applications
Launched in 2016, the Roddenberry Fellowship awards United States-based activists, leaders, and disruptors responding urgently and creatively to structural inequities and an enduring climate of increased enmity and blame.
The 12-month program will provide up to 20 fellows with a $50,000 grant and access to a community of peers. Fellows may be working on a range of issues affecting the U.S., including but not limited to the following areas: civil rights, environmental protection, immigration and refugee rights, LGBTQIA and women’s rights, health and wellness, etc.
To be eligible, applicants must be founders or co-founders of and currently hold the CEO, executive director, or equivalent position in their organizations, which must have annual budgets of under $2 million and be in existence for fewer than four years. Individuals must be over the age of 18 and be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipient, or current visa holder.
All eligible applicants and nominees are invited to submit a short application via the online portal by June 16, 2023. Upon review, a select group of applicants will be invited to share more detailed information about themselves and their work via the online portal from July 31, 2023 to August 25, 2023.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Roddenberry Foundation website.
Deadline: June 16, 2023 (Short application)
