Position title: ReStore Manager

Reports directly to: Executive Director

Service week (days/hours): Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, some Mondays/evenings as required

Required meetings: Internal meetings as required; Board meetings, as needed

Personal vehicle required: Not required, but helpful in this position

MISSION:

Generate revenue, meet budgets and maintain profitability objectives in support of Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia operations through acquisition, management, and marketing of ReStore products.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia seeks highly organized and motivated manager with extensive operations and retail experience to successfully manage our 19,000 SF ReStore to generate revenue through procurement and sales of donated goods to meet budgets and maintain profitability to advance our mission.

The ReStore Manager implements and drives programs for donation. S/he provides a sustained network to expand the scope of Habitat ReStore activities and develops long-term, collaborative relationships with community based Trade/Business Groups, churches, donors and others to secure donations and raise awareness of Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia in the community. Additionally, the ReStore Manager provides operations management, including: consistent, safe and positive development of ReStore Team members and assets in order to provide a high quality donor to customer experience.

Core Responsibilities:

Operational

Drive donations, sales and profits of the ReStore to further the Habitat Philadelphia mission.
Demonstrate and train staff in outstanding service to customers, donors, volunteers and others.
Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, including individuals, businesses, community and church groups to increase quality and quantity of merchandise donations.
Establish, understand and communicate to all ReStore Team members the Key Performance Metrics for all ReStore operations and how they relate/contribute to positive customer experience and high quality operations.
Ensure ReStore is adequately staffed and operated by Team Members with knowledge, skills, abilities and leadership to accomplish assigned tasks.
Prepare and deliver (or supervise/participate in the delivery of) presentations in individual and group settings to create and expand long-term mutually beneficial relationships with current and prospective donors, civic/business organizations, governmental bodies and other non-profit organizations.
Ensure all personnel understand and can effectively communicate the Habitat ReStore and Habitat Philadelphia mission to members of the public.
Effectively manage Habitat ReStore assets to ensure safety of employees, volunteers, customers and others, ensuring that licenses and other required information are maintained properly for government bodies and others as appropriate.

Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising

Develop and implement cost-effective marketing strategy and public relations plan to meet monthly and annual bugeted goals through increased quality donations, sale and volunteer participation.
Implement realistic pricing system to turn inventory on sales floor and meet monthly budgets.
Utilize social media to promote sales, donations and ReStore visibility.
Develop and present proposals to the Executive Director for direct approval or support for presentation to the Board.
Staff and Volunteer Management
Manage and train the ReStore Team; hold weekly team meetings.
Manage organization of inventory on sales floor.
Supervise/coordinate/cooperate with volunteers and partner families, making their experiences meaningful.
