ReStore Assistant Manager, Habitat for Humanity – May 31

Reports directly to: ReStore Manager, ReStore Director

Department: Salary, Non-exempt

Time Requirements: Full-time, 9 am -5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday including regular availability for weekend and evening hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to other ReStore Co-Manager in the management of day-to-day store operations.
  • Track sales data to determine categories with high to low volume and adjust procurement strategies to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting practices: reconciling daily sales and the daily closing out of all financial transactions.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, coordinate, delegate, and manage multiple work activities.
  • Lead and train staff on proper pricing structures.
  • Onsite supervision of staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff, shoppers, donors, and volunteers.
  • Oversee scheduling of all store activities including staff schedules, volunteer schedules, and other special events.
  • Tracking and management of staff hours, vacation, holidays, and missing punch-outs via Paycom.
  • Engage customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure that the ReStore is always staffed properly. Managing call-outs, vacations, and sick time.
  • Assist with the selection and onboarding of new staff.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted sales goals, while seeking ways to reduce operating expenses.
  • Supervise daily product flow, ensuring donations are handled with care and efficiency.
  • Tracking of supplies, equipment, and day-to-day products that are needed to operate the store.
  • Enforce all ReStore policies fairly.
  • Make policy recommendations as needed.
  • Handle customer and donor complaints professionally.
