Posted by Pulitzer Center on March 15, 2022
Happy Women’s History Month, educators! To support your celebrations in the classroom, we’re sharing a few opportunities and resources you can use to engage students in learning about women uplifting their communities, and the challenges women face around the world.
Invite a journalist to visit your classroom: Explore a list of select guest speakers who can join your class to talk about their reporting on gender equity, women’s empowerment, and challenges facing women and girls. Reach out to schedule a free virtual journalist visit today!
Engage with the Pulitzer Center on Flipgrid: Visit our new collection, “Celebrating Women’s Empowerment,” to engage with short activities like “Profiles of Women Leaders,” “Celebrating Intersectionality,” and “Fighting Violence Against Women.” You and your students can record short video responses on the platform. You will need a free Flipgrid account to access these resources. Learn more about getting set up here!
