Resource Guide: Supporting Undocumented Youth

Undocumented Student Resource Guide
The U.S. Department of Education just released a new resource to help those working with undocumented youth. “Supporting Undocumented Youth” is now available and provides information focusing on students at the secondary and postsecondary level. This comprehensive resource also includes tips for higher education institutions, state aid policies, financial aid eligibility chart and scholarship information.
This guide can provide a solid fundamental set of information for those providing direct services to undocumented youth. This information should/could be combined with information you may have from postsecondary institutions in your state/immediate region. It is critical that direct service providers also have a solid understanding of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) in terms of what opportunities this provides to students and what DACA students still do not have access to. The more tools and knowledge we have, the better we serve.
