Dear Friend:

The Working Group to Enhance Services for Incarcerated Women in Philadelphia, a project of the Pennsylvania Prison Society, and the Volunteer Services Office of the Philadelphia Prison System cordially invites you to participate in a Resource Fair.

Cambria Community Center (CCC)
Tuesday, May 6 from 2-4 pm (1pm set up)
and
Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center (PICC)
Wednesday, June 18 from 2-4 pm (1 pm set up)

The Resource Fair is a phenomenal opportunity to connect a broad range of agencies that provide critical services with the women who reside at CCC and PICC. Additionally, staff and social workers at CCC and PICC will have the opportunity to learn more about area resources.

Representatives from agencies providing services in the following area are invited to attend:

? Health care
? Reproduction education
? Housing
? Children and families
? Education
? Employment
? Drug and alcohol treatment
? Finance/budgeting information
? Legal services
? Domestic and sexual violence
? Residential transitional services
? Other social service

Facilitated by the Pennsylvania Prison Society, the Working Group is a coalition of more than 20 agencies of Philadelphia’s legal, counseling, educational, and social services communities. Recognizing the enormous challenges facing incarcerated women – both while in jail and upon release – the Working Group endeavors to provide information, resources, and services to better enable incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women to address some of their needs.

Please join hundreds of others in providing valuable resources and information about your services to women in Philadelphia County jails.

For more information, please contact Donnel Brown at the Prison Society (215-564-6005, X101) or email donnelbrown@prisonsociety.org.
