Resist Invites Applications for Social Change, Justice Grants – Dec 4

Boston-based Resist redistributes resources back to frontline communities at the forefront of social change and amplifies their efforts to build a better world.

To help advance this mission, the organization welcomes applications from grassroots organizations working to advance justice and liberation. Two types of grants will be awarded:

General Support — Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded to groups that are building movements for justice and liberation and resisting systemic oppression through grassroots/cultural organizing, art making, and resilience building.

Accessibility — Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded in support of efforts that specifically make a group’s work more accessible. Examples of potential accessibility needs include interpretation services, wheelchair ramps, childcare, transportation for folks with mobility aids, etc.

To be eligible, applicants must have an organizational budget under $150,000 a year, be based in the United States, and be tax exempt under section of 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, be a federally recognized American Indian tribal government or agency, or be sponsored by a previously listed entity.
