Workshop examines youth resilience
On January 27th, the United Way and Covenant House will present Resilience in Action: Addressing Risk by Building on Strength, a workshop facilitated by nationally renowned speaker author and researcher, Ken Ginsburg, MD, MS Ed.
The workshop will focus on resilience- building communication techniques that recognize the strength of youth and guide them in developing coping strategies to deal with stress in an increasingly complex world. Using real-life scenarios, Dr. Ginsburg will emphasize the developmental strengths of youth, the potential of families, as well as the skills needed to empower youth to develop their own solutions.
The free workshop will take place from 9am-4pm at United Way, 1709 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia. Space is limited. To register, go here.
The training can be counted for PQAS and/or Act 48 Credits. For more information, email [email protected].
