Free Library’s Techmobile brings ‘hot spots’ to neighborhoods
Now is the time to book the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Techmobile, a new, free computer station making its way through Philadelphia communities.
Launched on April 12th, this “Hot Spot on Wheels” is an energy-efficient, hybrid van outfitted with six computers, broadband equipment, and a trained assistant who will provide computer classes, as well as one-on-one assistance. The Techmobile can reach areas of the city that are not close to a library branch or one of the six stationary hot spots (community centers with computers). Organizations can request a visit from the Techmobile online or by calling 215-686-5372.
