The Research Assistant & Coordinator provides support for all projects in the Department. This position collects data and completes databases as needed, arranges meetings and takes minutes to document workflow, learns to create timelines and visualize project advancement towards completion.
In this position you will be responsible for the following duties:
Capture secondary data from multiple sources and convert it to data base standards. Capture primary data through web-based surveys and phone-based interviews with protocols. Document meetings and events through note taking and minutes. Support departmental work as part of research teams through project management and tracking. Work with department on project timelines and arranging major meetings. Provide a “face” to the department for special request and general inquiries. Analyze data using EXCEL for special projects. Use a variety of software to display data for information consumers. Help write, edit, and format reports, grants, and other materials in support of projects. Build rapport with external partners and respond to simple data requests.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Science or Business Administration or other related field.
Or, any combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Human Resources Department
Good communication on the phone and in person.
Strong business acumen
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Able to multi task..
Ability to effectively relate to people of diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, government agencies, public officials, and all levels of management and staff
