Request for Proposals: Advancing Community Schools Forward – Jun 7
Posted by Children's Aid National Center for Community Schools on May 7, 2024
The National Center for Community Schools (NCCS) at Children’s Aid is seeking proposals from community school initiatives interested in receiving technical assistance aligned with the Community Schools Forward (CSF) framework.
Selected applicants will provide thought partnership and critical feedback to NCCS as we design and deliver CSF-aligned tools and professional learning opportunities. In exchange, NCCS will provide its capacity building services to selected applicants over twelve months at a significantly reduced cost.
Types of capacity building opportunities include:
- Consultations: Ensures that the plan of action is developed based on an initial conversation and remains fluid and can shift over time in response to changes in local context.
- Training and Tools: Opportunities for skill building and knowledge transfer. For example, staff can be trained on how to conduct an inclusive assets and needs assessment, and more.
- Coaching: Direct support, such as one-on-one meetings with initiative and school leaders, on implementation challenges.
- Knowledge building for the field: Opportunities to attend conferences, communities of practice, and study visits to school sites.
Questions and proposals can be submitted to scampo@childrensaidnyc.org. Proposals are due no later than 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, June 7, 2024.
