Report on Pennsylvania’s Point in Time Count in Homeless Populations Shows Decrease
On one night in Pennsylvania this year, 14,415 men, women, and children either slept in an emergency or transitional housing program or on the street. This is a decrease from the 16,220 individuals counted on one night in 2007, as indicated in recently released “Point in Time” (PIT) data by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
This “BrainGain@PEC” report shows the number of Pennsylvanians who were counted as homeless on a single night in January. Neither this “BrainGain@PEC” nor the original HUD source provides any trend analysis or commentary.
