This workshop summary is a report of an Institute of Medicine meeting held to discuss how to implement the recommendations of the report, Who Will Keep the Public Healthy? Educating Public Health Professionals for the 21st Century. It includes suggestions from the six workgroups for next steps necessary to move forward in implementing the recommendations.
