America’s Rental Housing
The Joint Center for Housing Studies has put out a report, “America’s Rental Housing: Evolving Markets and Needs” detailing the failure of assistance efforts to keep pace with renters’ needs. Half of U.S. renters pay more than 30 percent of their income on rent, the report finds, up 12 percentage points from a decade earlier.
