RWJF Issues Call for Pioneering Ideas Related to Reinventing Discovery, Future of Work
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has issued a Call for Proposals for unconventional approaches, emerging trends, and innovative solutions with the potential to accelerate progress toward building a Culture of Health.
Through its Pioneering Ideas program, the foundation is seeking to collaborate with others in two areas of interest — Reinventing Discovery and the Future of Work.
1) Reinventing Discovery: RWJF is interested in supporting more rapid, responsive and relevant biomedical research. To that end, the foundation will award grants of up to $250,000 in support of projects that explore how health and medical discovery can benefit from the input and perspectives of a broader stakeholder base, including patients, and what considerations should be taken into account in an emerging scientific landscape. Proposal ideas for this category must be received no later than September 1, 2016.
2) Future of Work: In this category, RWJF will award grants in support of projects that can help it understand how shifts in the economy and workforce might affect health and health care, as well as the types of benefit alternatives, support systems, and services that workers may need to live the healthiest life possible. Grant amounts will be determined on a project-by-project basis. Proposals in this area must be submitted no later than September 15, 2016.
For complete program guidelines, descriptions of previously funded projects, an FAQ, and application instructions, see the RWJF website.
DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 1, 2016
