Registration Open: 2024 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (CLDE) meeting – Jun 5-7

The 2024 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (CLDE) meeting is now open for early-bird registration through March 29. This national conference will take place in Detroit, Michigan from June 5 – 7, 2024. Students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners are all welcome to attend. Students and teams (i.e. four or more individuals from the same institution) can register for the conference at discounted rates.
The schedule will include workshops, plenaries, and optional site visits (you can choose between Detroit’s Underground Railroad or The Motown Experience). Conference sessions will focus on the following topics:
- Integrating justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
- Incorporating experiential learning opportunities
- Ensuring sustainable campus-wide voter education and engagement
- Assessing institution-wide civic learning objectives
- Implementing curricular and pedagogical strategies
- Implementing co-curricular and programmatic strategies
- Expanding civic engagement beyond the institution
In addition, CLDE 2024 organizers are still seeking proposals for 50-minute concurrent sessions and poster presentations. All proposals must be submitted by Monday, February 5, 2024. Click here to read the Call for Proposals and submit a proposal.
