The National College Attainment Network (NCAN) is delighted to present our annual national conference, “Uniting for Equity: Shaping the Future of Postsecondary Attainment,” at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas from October 16-18, 2023! This year’s conference will present an innovative array of roundtable discussions, thought provoking plenaries and interactive breakout sessions designed to refresh your toolbox in this post pandemic landscape. As practitioners and partners in this work, we believe we’re at a turning point nationally. We invite you to join us in  cultivating new ideas, examining current strategies and ensuring that we are putting our best, most effective foot forward for every student, every day.

The 2023 NCAN National Conference is the premiere professional development forum for postsecondary access and success practitioners and their partners nationwide who have made the commitment to equitable excellence for their students.

Here are a few opportunities to look forward to:

  • A fire side chat between Allan Golston from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Dr. William Serrata, President of El Paso Community College.
  • Our welcome plenary will feature Dallas’ first poet laureate, and award-winning educator, Joaquin Zihuatanejo.
  • NCAN’s annual “Lightning Talks” – brief, motivational, and engaging talks elevating our members’ voices – will feature Melissa Connelly, OneGoal; Gary Linnen, PeerForward; and Sara Urquidez, Academic Success Program.
  • More than 60 interactive workshops and over 60 intimate roundtable discussions from your peers and experts in the areas of connecting college and career; diversity, equity and inclusion; federal policy; postsecondary access, readiness and success; and much more!
